About Indie Flurry

Winter Film Awards is an all-volunteer women and minority-run 501(c)3 organization founded in 2011 by NYC filmmakers and arts enthusiasts. We focus on showcasing diversity, innovation and creativity in Independent Film, with a special emphasis on highlighting women and minority filmmakers.

Our annual Indie Film Festival brings you the best in emerging filmmaking from all genres from around the world. In addition to the Festival, we host 4-6 events each year in New York City, including panel discussions, networking parties, a 48-Hour Film Challenge, archival cartoon screenings and other fun film-related events.

Indie Flurry is a crowdsourced blog dedicated to discussing the world of indie film, including interesting stories, news items, upcoming events, product reviews, film reviews and interviews with cool people.
